and the next day,

This is me, a couple of hours to the number 23.

went like this.

On Saturday, I was all set to go eat at Il Tempio just the two of us. (explanation: he gave me a stupid clue, STAR, which made me immediately think we were going to the said restaurant cos there was this Michelin Star Chef there. That was my immediate response as just a few days before this clue, he told me over the phone about this restaurant he was reading about in a mag at the clinic. -_-) So I was excited about going to eat Gnocchi with duck confit and foie gras, and other Italian food. It's quite rare I crave for Italian...that was how much anticipation I had for this place.) But NO...that was not what he had in mind when he said STAR. So later at the nail place...I had so much time to think right. Then I thought...star? Could it be bukit bintang? Aiyah, then to cut the long story short, I'm very smart, more like too kepoh, I figured it out before dinner. It was El Cerdo. At Changkat Bukit Bintang.

Then bla bla bla, I was telling him...why are we going there tonight! We're supposed to go with my family on Sat...more people can eat more ma.. Two ppl eat wat wor... And then he came up with some dumb thing like he already spoke with the restaurant ppl and had them customize an order for 2. wtf. There goes my Gnocchi...

Since my hamsem bf had surprised me already the previous night, and I already blew the surprise dinner location, lol..I was satisfied. There couldn't be anything more up his sleeve. That put my mind off investigator mode..could get ready in peace.

So we arrived there at 8.45 pm (as for why so late, there is an equally bullcrap story he came up with -> there are 2 slots at the restaurant as they're very booked up. 6pm and 8.45pm...diners who came for the 1st slot, had to leave at 8.30pm to make way for the 2nd slot. The 2nd slot diners could stay until they closed. I have no idea why but I believed that story...and agreed with him some more..saying ya hor, like that restaurant in Ijok, must go according to time slot. -_- Just so you know and before you say 'wah..like that also believe..dumbo!', this is just the gist of the story, he told it in a very elaborated version, with lots of stuff that made sense bluek). Then when he asked for our table, and the waitress replied 'oh, the big group?', HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! I can imagine he damn potong lor.. then I also had to play along with the surprise. HAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA...aihh, hilarious. The attendees were what surprised me the most. First of all,

Mian Ying & Fats
These two, told me they were going to Penang for mooncake festival celebration. -_- LIARS!

Chow Hui & AJ
Didn't expect them to be there.. :)

Tom!
This was the most surprising. The last time I saw him was at Perhentians...and he was there to celebrate my bday. awesome :]

Wei Qwen.
Very the gay lor this pic...
This one ar...I also dunno how he got there lor. Lol! Nice of him to come :)

Ju & Steven
Konon-nya, Ju had some 'buka puasa' media client thingamajig to attend...and wasn't free on Sat. I tell you my friends all damn clever to lie. :D

Fatty & Euneee
Dropped by after their dinner. This 2 very good. Night after night come and sing bday song for me. :P Where to find such ppl leh....hahaha. Don't worry fatty, we'll sing bday song for you on the way up Mt. KK. :D

Moving on to the food, which was yummy and porky-ly satisfying, we had the ever famous roasted suckling pig apart from others.
The mouth-watering but extremely unhealthy suckling pig. MmmMmm.

Telling us the story of the pig and how to eat it according to tradition.

The piglet is so crisp and tender that it can be chopped with just a plate. This is me proving it!

And to throw away all the bad luck from all the guests at the table, I had to break the plate. Hold it at the clock time 4 & 7 for luck in relationship, or 2 & 10 for luck in money.

Upon breaking my plate, the guy said, 'you're not very Chinese are you?' lol..no prizes for guessing how I held the plate la right?

We didn't break the plate on the floor of course...

the sacred pig's tail. It was my choice who I gave it to that night...due to it's special powers. wahahahah..

chopped up & good to go! into our stomachs.

Food was good...for sure, I'll be back to try more El Cerdo goodness..namely their paella and ribs!

etc etc..

And then suddenly, the lights went off...and the speakers started playing a pig version of Happy Birthday which went something like this. 'happy birth-day to you..OINK! OINK! happy birth-day to you...OINK! OINK!.....OINK OINK..' accompanied by the waitresses as well.

And what do you know! The cake they brought in was a MINI COOPER CAKE! My dream car in case any of you don't already know. Hehe.

I was surprised and veli happy :) (Ju did ask me for my RC mini cooper before that cos she supposedly needed it for work or what I don't know that bluffer..but it didn't cross my mind she wanted to get it for the cake. See. See how much I trust my friends.)

My super cake courtesy of Cake Crumbs.

Lastly, it was the time I dreaded the most. The opening of presents. Why dread? Don't get me wrong..I love presents...tell me who doesn't! But, for one, I'm not good at showing my emotions, hahah...and two, well I just don't like opening presents in front of the giver or ppl for that matter. Weird I know...but I just can't scream and jump no matter how much I like the present. It's the same as how I can't scream and jump /act surprised eventhough I'm surprised. So don't pressure me lah ok. I'm boring I know...heheh.

So anyway, this is from the hamsem Cheese.

My first long wallet. Sorry...a bit jakun. Heheh

Thank you Cheese, for dinner and everything else! And thanks to all those who came. :)
